DESCRIPTION

1.To familiarize with the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
2.To analyze the impact of the life and teachings on the world through the centuries and especially on the world today.
3.To study the essential facts concerning the life of christ including a brief survey of the historical,political,social,and geographical backgrounds of His time.
4.To analyze the eternal principles of thuth as observed in the teachings and life of Jesus christ.

COURSE PORTION

The semester material covers material of the general background to th course to ascension.

METHOD

The study of the teachings of Jesus Christ will follow a chronological order as seen in a harmony of the gospels.

Assigments

1.Draw a political map of palestine in the time of Christ and mark in the following provinces and towns:
Judaea,Galilee,Deacapolis,Samaria,Peria,Jerusalem,Capernaum,Jericho,Bethlehem,Caesarea,Philippi,Nazareth.
OR

2.To prepare a Skeletal outline of the life and teaching of Jesus,giving for each event place and date where possible.Make this outline on the basis of the gospel of Matthew.

3.Prepare an outline of the life and teachings of Jesus,indicating events and corresponding place and apprroximate date.Include parables told with corresponding place and audience. Use the gospel of luke as the basis for their outline.The SDA Bible Commentary,Vol.V will be of great help in this assignment.

Assignments should be submitted after 20 class lecture periods from the date of the commencement of the course.
